 Welcome to the PYA Information Gateway Wiki!

This site is designed to be a "gateway to information".  I will post internet tools as I come across them.   Anything that strikes me as something worth sharing will be put on this page.  Some of the tools will be Web 2.0 tools...interactive websites.  The picture below is a map created by a Japanese firm showing the development of some of these tools.  You can access an interactive version of this map by visiting:  http://www.informationarchitects.jp/slash/ia_trendmap_start.html

 The interactive map describes each of the "locations" on the map.  A couple of my new favorites are www.doodle.ch  a cool tool for scheduling meetings or taking polls,  and Google Earth/Google Maps...an excellent tool with many classroom applications.

Although I haven't tried uploading images yet, there are lots of interesting uses for Flickr.  Check out David Jakes' paper found at http://www.jakesonline.org/flickrinclassroom.pdf  ... some great ideas!
